On July 28th, 2017, General Resolution No. 4099/2017 (the "Resolution") of the Argentine Tax Authorities ("AFIP") was published in the Official Gazette. This Resolution establishes an installment payment plan aimed at taxpayers who have tax debts incurred from June 1st 2016 to May 31st 2017.

This plan known as "Fiscal Bridge" is an installment payment plan to which taxpayers may apply from August 1st 2017 to October 31st 2017, inclusive. Under this plan, AFIP aims at helping taxpayers to comply with their tax obligations, social security contributions, withholdings and earnings, as well as the applicable interests. This plan will be the link between the "Permanent Plan" still in force and a new "Permanent Plan" which will be effective on November 1st 2017.

This plan provides for 12-to-24-monthly installments. Please bear in mind that the amount of each installment must be $1000 (one thousand pesos) or more. The maximum amount of monthly installments to be granted will be determined according to the type of debt and in accordance with the following chart:

Type of debt Maximum amount of monthly installments
Annual obligations, contributions, withholdings and earnings 12
Monthly obligations 24
Reformulation of permanent obligations in force on July 31st 2017 12

The Resolution establishes the formalities, terms, and other requirements taxpayers must meet to adhere to the plan.
