BALTIMORE—Gender inclusivity in the workplace is increasingly a top-of-mind issue for all employers. Companies that cast a wider net for talent, leadership and ideas stand to gain the advantage in a competitive marketplace.

With that in mind, Womble Carlyle will host a Baltimore Speaker Series Talk on Gender Inclusion with Dune Thorne of Brown Advisory. The event takes place live in Womble Carlyle's Baltimore office on Thursday, June 1. It will be streamed to all other Womble Carlyle offices, as well as to Bond Dickinson's offices in the U.K.

This event is presented in partnership with Women of Womble.

Thorne will discuss the importance of gender diversity, and how companies benefit by providing women with opportunities. For example, 70 percent of high school valedictorians are girls, but only four percent of S&P CEOs are women. Successful businesses will unlock advantages by giving all team members the chance to succeed to their full potential. Thorne shares her concept of the "Gender Inclusive S-Curve" which provides a blueprint for companies to reach this goal.
