BALTIMORE—Renowned attorney David William Larkin is the next spotlight speaker for Womble Carlyle's Baltimore Speaker Series. On June 29, Larkin will discuss the topic of corruption in international sports.

With the FIFA World Cup taking place in Russia next year, the topic of corruption in international sports is again at the forefront. In 2016, FIFA acknowledged that past World Cups were awarded due to bribes. Prosecutors seized nearly $200 million from indicted former FIFA officials, and the scandal ended the 17-year term of FIFA President Sepp Blatter.
