Overview

Guernsey Finance is the international promotional agency for Guernsey's finance industry, a company limited by guarantee which is owned and funded partly by Guernsey's government (the States of Guernsey) and partly by the local finance industry.

The agency promotes Guernsey's offering as an international finance centre all over the world, particularly in its core industry sectors of investment funds, insurance, banking and private wealth services. This is achieved through numerous channels including Guernsey-branded and third-party events, facilitating trade and governmental delegations, and extensive media relations and e-marketing campaigns.

The Board of Guernsey Finance is looking for a new Chief Executive to lead the current team across its offices in Guernsey and Shanghai, to strengthen its presence in key markets including London, North America, the Middle East and the Far East, and to perform an "ambassadorial" role working with the City of London and CityUK.

The successful candidate will have promotional and marketing experience plus a broad knowledge and overview of the finance industry. Specific experience in the sectors in which Guernsey excels would be helpful.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for delivering Guernsey Finance's vision and mission by agreeing the overall strategic direction with the Board, and communicating it to all staff members and industry to ensure ongoing development, engagement and implementation.

The Chief Executive will work closely with a wide variety of Guernsey stakeholders, including the Committee for Economic Development, the Guernsey International Business Association (and its constituent industry sector associations), industry member firms and individuals, and the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
