Foreigners arriving and staying in Ukraine now face additional immigration requirements.

This includes registering both their immigration card and their passport on arrival at the Ukraine state border.

Since Ukraine joined the World Trade Organisation on 16 May 2008, foreign citizens from other WTO member states can now stay in Ukraine for up to 180 days in a year, starting from the date of their first entry into Ukraine. Previously, they could only stay for up to 90 days in a 180-day period.
