KPMG staff had the opportunity to volunteer in local primary schools, in collaboration with JAYE Malta Foundation.

Employees from different departments of the leading professional services firm dedicated a day to delivering the 'Our Community' programme, designed to give Year 4 students vital exposure to concepts relating to society, jobs and money.

Through interactive games and activities tailored for an 8 year old audience, students learned about working together and the meaning of the community. KPMG staff spoke to students about different jobs, and gave a basic introduction of the way money works and moves around the economy.

With every day bringing new headlines relating to economic growth and job opportunities, it is of paramount importance that the next generation of students are introduced to financial literacy from an early age. The schools visited by KPMG were St. Margaret's Primary in Senglea, St. Margaret's Primary in Zabbar, St. Benedict's Primary in Ghaxaq and St. Benedict's Primary in Zurrieq.

"Apart from helping to brighten up the kids' Monday, and give them a short break from their usual subjects, we really enjoyed the experience of sharing some of our practical experience from the business world."
- Andreana Boldarini, Human Resources Manager
