Carey Olsen has appointed Daniel Moore as a senior associate in the firm's Hong Kong corporate and finance practice.

Daniel, who advises on British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Cayman Islands law, specialises in debt finance transactions with significant experience in secured and unsecured commercial lending, pre-IPO financings, margin lending, real estate and acquisition finance transactions.

He also has a background in advising clients in relation to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and shareholder arrangements, and has a keen interest in the offshore regulatory space, particularly in the areas of economic substance and fintech.

Daniel trained and qualified into the finance group of a leading Irish law firm before joining the finance group of Clifford Chance in Hong Kong in 2015. Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Daniel was a senior associate in the Hong Kong office of another offshore law firm where he advised on some of the largest regional transactions.

Partner Anthony McKenzie said: "Daniel's senior appointment represents the continued growth of our corporate practice in Asia and our commitment to delivering the highest level of client service. His extensive knowledge and experience will be a valuable addition to our offering and we are delighted to welcome him to the team."
