Bethany Biesenthal, Investigations & White Collar Defense partner in Jones Day's Chicago Office, has been named to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin (CDLB) & Chicago Lawyer's inaugural Salute! Women in Law Awards list. The CDLB & Chicago Lawyer received more than 500 nominations for their new list and from this competitive pool of nominees selected 50 women as Chicago's top legal community leaders.

Ms. Biesenthal is an experienced trial lawyer who represents companies and individuals in high-stakes civil and criminal litigation, government and internal investigations, and compliance-related matters. Her experience includes representing companies in fraud and public corruption investigations, advising hospitality companies regarding potential liability stemming from class action allegations of human trafficking, and defending a client against systematic violence allegations. Prior to joining Jones Day, she served for over ten years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois, successfully trying over 20 federal cases to verdict and serving in various leadership capacities, including as Senior Litigation Counsel. She also served as point of contact for FBI counter-terrorism squads and defended the constitutionality of a domestic terrorism statute.
