Ogier's Property team in Guernsey acted on all of the island's high value property transactions in August.

The team – which is growing to meet demand and welcomes senior conveyancer Nick Le Poidevin this month – is advising a varied portfolio that reflects the renewed strength of Guernsey's property market.

In addition, the team advises the Island's most active lender – Lloyds – which has issued 164 bonds totalling nearly £60m so far this year.

Partner Martyn Baudains said: "After a predictable slowing of the market during lockdown, the pace has picked up incredibly quickly and we are seeing a large number of local market conveyances and an encouraging interest in the open market with some significant purchases in August. Last month saw the highest number of local market houses and flat exchanges in 2020 to date.

"As well as acting on the four highest value purchases across both markets, the Ogier team's varied portfolio also included the sale of 29 parking spaces."
