On August 18th, 2017, the National Agency of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection for Hydrocarbons Sector ("ASEA" for its acronym in Spanish) issued a new provision, NOM-003-ASEA-2016 applicable to the distribution of Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas through pipelines. This provision sets forth the specifications and technical criteria for Industrial Safety, Operational Safety and Environmental Protection regarding the design, construction, pre-commissioning, operation, maintenance, shutdown and dismantling of the Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Pipeline Distribution Systems applicable to all permit-holders carrying out the referenced activities.
