Ecuador:
New Channels To Denounce Corruption
To print this article, all you need is to be registered or login on Mondaq.com.
Since last year, the National Anticorruption Secretariat
("SENAC") has enabled three methods for the public to
denounce acts of corruption:
1) An online portal: www.denuncias.gov.py
2) Two direct telephone lines: (021) 450 001/2
3) Personally in SENAC's offices
The reports may be made anonymously. Once a report is received,
SENAC will contact the Anticorruption Office of the relevant public
entity in order to initiate an internal investigation of the facts.
Depending on the severity of the alleged conduct, SENAC may also
inform the Public Ministry, so that it may initiate a criminal
investigation.
The content of this article is intended to provide a general
guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought
about your specific circumstances.
