"In a decision that goes against the emerging national trend, the Pennsylvania Superior Court has unanimously held that out-of-state companies that register to do business in Pennsylvania have 'consented' to general personal jurisdiction in the Commonwealth. On June 28, the Court in Webb-Benjamin LLC v. International Rug Group LLC decided that business registration by itself created jurisdiction over the non-Pennsylvania defendant for its out-of-state activities."
