The Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC) has announced that the due date for submission of 2013 Annual Information Statements (AISs) has been extended until 31 March 2014.

This date applies for charities that have a standard 30 June year end for reporting purposes. Charities using a different year end for reporting purposes will still have six months from the end of their reporting period to submit their AIS.

The AIS requires charities and not-for-profit entities registered with the ACNC to provide non-financial information about their operations for their last completed financial year.

Information received via AISs will be published on the ACNC Register, unless an entity is successful in an application to the Commissioner to keep such information private.

No fees are payable in connection with the submission of AISs or any other notifications to the ACNC.
