On  September 9, 2020, Resolution No. 07/2020 of the National Energy Policy Council ("CNPE") was published in the Official Gazette ("Resolution"), amending CNPE Resolution No. 10/2018, which established the guidelines for the 2020-2021 multiyear schedule of bid rounds for blocks for the exploration and production of petroleum and natural gas. 

The Resolution moved the date of the 17th Bidding Round under the Concession Regime from 2020 to 2021 and the date of the 18th Bidding Round from 2021 to 2022.

The Resolution maintained that the 17th Bidding Round shall offer blocks selected from the offshores basins of  Pará-Maranhão, Potiguar, Campos, Santos and Pelotas but did not indicate specific sectors.
