The unlimited recognition of trusts in Switzerland is far from certain. This article examines the role of trusts in this country against the background of the Swiss Succession laws and the tax regimes of the Cantons and the Confederation.
Some conflicts of law positions are looked at as well as the classic case of Swiss recognition of trusts.
