On account of the unforeseen disruption caused by COVID-19, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) advises that any trademark deadlines falling between March 16, 2020, and March 31, 2020, are extended to April 1, 2020.

At this time, CIPO remains open and in operation. However, you are being encouraged to use the online services as some of its regional offices, to which correspondence can usually be delivered, may make their own decisions about remaining operational or open to the public.
