As we continue to anticipate and address how COVID-19 is impacting business and law, our first priority is the health and well-being of our firm members, clients and community.

What we are doing

BLG has largely been working remotely since mid-March. We continue to implement our technology and talent to deliver exceptional client service. We have provided several legal and regulatory updates on topics including an overview of dispute management during COVID-19, a Class Actions forecast, a review of shareholder and corporate disputes as well as an update on virtual hearings and best practices when dealing with courts digitally. Our advocates are committed to continuing to deliver leading insights and winning outcomes for clients during this time.

The new BLG Disputes

As Canada's Law Firm, we understand the power of a unified view. We are now BLG Disputes to harness the breadth of our robust practice and the depth of our services and specialties. Our dedicated advocates reflect the knowledge and experience of the strongest, most well-rounded group of litigators and legal staff in Canada. This begins with BLG's Academy of Excellence, which provides opportunities for associates to develop diverse advocacy experience in multiple areas. Our innovative approach to mentorship, training and teaching our craft fosters connections across the firm to develop the most well-rounded litigators in Canada.

Moving Forward

We will continue to keep you updated as this situation progresses. In the meantime, insights are also available on our COVID-19 Resource Centre, including announcements of legislative and regulatory changes, and links to available programs and resources.

At BLG Disputes, we anticipate the unexpected. No matter what comes next, we are ready for it.
