Nothing signals the approach of the holidays like eggnog lattes, gingerbread, frenzied mall traffic and of course, the Clawbies! Since 2006, the annual Canadian Law Blog Awards has been recognizing outstanding blogs from the Canadian legal industry. The nomination process is open to the public.

As there is so much talent in the legal blogging community, it is always a tough choice to come up with top picks. This year, we at the Davis LLP Litigation & Dispute Resolution Blog would like to nominate the Legal Feeds Blog and ABlawg.

We enjoy the Legal Feeds Blog, run by Canadian Lawyer magazine, for its well-rounded and engaging content. From legislative developments in Canada, to noteworthy cases and court decisions around the world, to hot topics in legal industry news, bloggers at Legal Feeds cover a wide spectrum of topics that keep readers well informed. We also find the regular "Legal news roundup" – which curates the latest legal news headlines from the media – to be a handy resource.

We also continue to follow the well-established ABlawg for its insights on the energy resource and oil and gas sectors in Alberta and beyond. It is great to find succinct commentaries from such respected professors as Nigel Bankes and Shaun Fluker to stay on top of developments in these areas.

Good luck to all contenders! We'd also like to wish our readers a very festive and joyful holiday season. We look forward to bringing you updates and interesting case commentaries in 2015!
