February 17, 2018 – Alberta and federal immigration authorities have revised its high-wage occupation exclusion list that do not qualify for a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment when applying for a work permit.

The federal government website publishes a list of such occupations, warning that LMIA applications will be refused.

"We will not process your application if the position you are looking to fill is included in the list of occupations," the federal government website says.
