January 28, 2019 – Canada's revamped Parents and Grandparents Program opens at noon EST today, with a huge rush of sponsors expected to go online and submit forms.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has warned it expects a spike in use of its helplines and traffic to its website.
An important change to the rules this year will see sponsors invited to apply in the order they submit (first submitted, first served) interest to sponsor forms.
