August 20, 2018 - Prince Edward Island invited more than 100 skilled worker candidates for only the second time in its latest expression of interest draw. The August 16th draw also saw 111 candidates issued with EOIs in the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories. It issued seven EOIs issued in the Business Impact category, with a minimum points requirement of 145.

August 17, 2018 - British Columbia has reinforced that its immigration priority is technology workers with its latest B.C. PNP Tech Pilot draw. The August 15 draw saw 44 invites issued to candidates in targeted technology occupations, who are allowed to jump to the front of the queue for B.C. immigration.
August 17, 2018 - Newfoundland & Labrador immigration has announced it will launch two new streams for entrepreneurs. The Atlantic province is to add International Entrepreneur and International Graduate Entrepreneur streams to the Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Nominee Program.
August 17, 2018 - Ontario has conducted a large draw under its Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream, inviting nearly 1,000 candidates to apply for immigration. Canada's most populous province issued 947 invites under the HCP stream to candidates scoring between 350 and 439 points.

August 15, 2018 - New draws under Nova Scotia's Entrepreneur and International Graduate Entrepreneur streams recently took place. The Entrepreneur draw saw 32 candidates issued with Invitations to Apply for Nova Scotia immigration, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 116 points.
August 15, 2018 - Minimum scores for skilled workers dropped again as British Columbia conducted the largest BC PNP draw of 2018 on August 8, 2018 inviting 405 candidates under the direct provincial skilled worker stream. The lowest score was 82.
