The Ukrainian customs officials at the city of Vynohradiv, western Ukraine, have recently prevented the illegal import of 13 tons of products bearing the mark Nivea, a widely known skin-care brand owned by the German company Beiersdorf.

The shipment included 32,000 bottles of Nivea for Men Sensitive and Nivea Touch of Radiance shower gel, which an unofficial importer declared as humanitarian aid for a religious organization in Ukraine.

The seized products, which were past their expiration dates, were developed exclusively for the U.S. and Canada market and not intended for import into Europe.
