El Superintendente de Bancos e Instituciones Financieras, Mario
Farren, sostuvo una reunión con los diputados Jorge
Alessandri y Guillermo Ramírez, para discutir en torno a
las problemáticas en materia de ciberseguridad que tiene el
sistema financiero nacional, esto luego del ataque
informático que sufrió un banco del país a
finales de mayo pasado. En la instancia, los parlamentarios
expresaron su preocupación ante la seguridad de las
operaciones bancarias de la ciudadanía, así como sus
inquietudes respecto de la desactualizada legislación que
actualmente trata la seguridad informática. Por su lado,
Farren informó de las labores que la superintendencia a su
cargo ha estado realizando, e instó a aprobar la modificación a la
Ley General de Bancos, para permitir que los fiscalizadores
puedan actuar de forma más efectiva, aumentando la seguridad
del sistema financiero nacional.
