In response to a parliamentary question dated 6 june 1994 asking whether Article 209 B of the French General Tax Code applies to captive insurance and reinsurance subsidiaries of French parent companies, when they enjoy a favourable tax regime, the Budget Minister replied that insurance was not a priori excluded from the provisions of Article 209 B and that each case would be examined on its own merits.
