On June 15, the Bavarian Data Protection Authority
("DPA") published
a press release stating that the Administrative Court of Bayreuth
confirmed in a preliminary injunction the opinion of the Bavarian
DPA on the use of a custom audience on social media (source
document in German). The court confirmed that the processing of
personal data in connection with a custom audience requires the
individual's consent.
