The Commission's new Director of Banking is Philip Marr who has taken over as head of banking supervision from Peter Crook.

Mr Marr was Senior Manager, Enforcement, in the surveillance division at the Bank of England which he joined in 1970. He has also served in Bahrain as an adviser on banking supervision and in Bermuda as Economic Adviser to the Minister of Finance.
