In view of Covid-19 outbreak in India, government of India issued 21 day lockdown which would have been in effect till April 15, 2020. Various Indian Intellectual Property (IP) Offices issued notification primarily to adjourn any proceedings happening before them to a date after April 15, 2020. Now, considering that government has extended the initial lockdown by a further period of 19 days till May 3, 2020 the Office of Controller General of Patent, Design and Trademark (CGPDTM) issued a notification on April 15, 2020 stating that all offices under administrative control of CGPDTM shall not be accessible to public (in person) till this extended lockdown continues.  Furthermore, all hearings scheduled upto May 3, 2020 stand adjourned with fresh hearing dates to be notified thereafter. E-filing services of the offices under the CGPDTM shall remain un-affected and would be available round the clock.
