February 2018 - In 2017, the Ukrainian parliament adopted the long-anticipated law "On State Financial Guarantees for the Provision of Medical Services and Medicinal Products". The new law – the first comprehensive change to the Ukrainian healthcare system since the country's independence – initiates healthcare reform by introducing changes to the healthcare financing system. Reform to the state healthcare system is designed to improve its operation, introduce transparent and standardised pricing for healthcare services and provide access to high quality treatment.

While 2017 was a remarkable year in Ukraine with the launch of healthcare reform, it is expected that 2018 will be the year of its successful implementation.

Kinstellar's "Year in Review" is devoted to the healthcare reform in Ukraine and other changes to the national healthcare legislation.
