Previously in our blog, we reported that the Mexican Senate
published a
bill to amend the Industrial Property Law to introduce an
opposition system for trademarks and explained the key
aspects of the trademark opposition system according to the
bill.
Subsequently, on April 28, 2016, the Mexican Congress approved
the amendment to the IP Law.
The amendment must be published in the Official Gazette and will
enter into force three months after its publication.
