Zoé Robledo, general director of IMSS and Santiago Nieto Castillo, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP for its acronym in Spanish), executed a collaboration agreement for the exchange of information, with the main objective of improving the Nation’s auditing labors, inquiring on corruption and specially attacking outsourcing schemes.

Outsourcing schemes are understood as vulnerable activities, due to the management of financial resources of the company that benefits from the service of employees hired under this modality.

Throughout the information exchange, and the creation of working committees, the parties intend to identify companies which use the aforementioned schemes in order to employ workers and rigorously analyze the money flow that circulates between the companies and the amount of which is auditable.

It is important to note that the information exchange will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Social Security act, the National Security act and the corresponding regulations regarding access to information and personal data protection.
