Join us for our upcoming hybrid event "The Planning Reform Bill: A New Regime for Growth" on Wednesday, 14 June at 8:00 am (GMT +1).

During this event we will hear insights from Paul Gallagher SC in his keynote address and a panel of Matheson leaders will discuss "Will Ireland's reformed planning regime unlock opportunities for development?".

The scale of the challenge for Irish planning reform cannot be underestimated. Neither can the importance of - and the need for - reform.

Our panel will explain the potential impacts of the Planning Reform Bill to those familiar with the planning and judicial review system, or those involved in new applications. As well as the new Bill (or Act, if enacted), we will consider recent case law and future emerging trends, bearing in mind that Ireland is part of an EU legal system that defines features of the planning and Court systems.

This legislative reform can help to unlock development. Our panel will however also consider the need for co-ordinated action for the system and, critically, the steps that developers can take to achieve robust permissions.

We look forward to you joining us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging event.
