Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce Super Lawyers® has recognized Collier W. McKenzie in its 2024 edition of Georgia Super Lawyers®. McKenzie was named a Rising Star for the fifth consecutive year in Government Finance in Macon, Georgia.

Super Lawyers®, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous process, including a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. Each year, no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers® identifies Rising Stars as those attorneys, 40 years old or younger, who have made exceptional contributions in a particular practice area for ten years or less.

At Butler Snow, McKenzie is a member of the firm's Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets practice group. He has extensive experience in public finance matters and environmental matters impacting a variety of private industries and public entities.

McKenzie has been recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star for Government Finance since 2019. He previously served as Chair of the Environmental Law and Agricultural Law Sections for the State Bar of Georgia (2020-2021) as well as President of the Young Lawyers Division for the Macon Bar Association (2015-2016). McKenzie is also a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and the American Agricultural Law Association.

Underscoring his commitment to serving his community, McKenzie is a member of the Macon Civic Club and previously served as a board member of the UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association. He is also a member of Leadership Macon's Class of 2019.

Collier McKenzie earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor from Mercer University.
