Shearman & Sterling has been nominated in the category of "Litigation of the Year – Cartel Defence" at The Global Competition Review's 2024 Awards. We have been recognized for defeating class certification in the multi-district class action,In re Interest Rate Swaps Antitrust Litigation, alleging an antitrust conspiracy in the multi-trillion-dollar market for interest rate swaps. Judge J. Paul Oetken of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York denied plaintiffs' motion for class certification in its entirety.
