Anita Modak-Truran is a member of Butler Snow's Diversity and Inclusivity Committee and the firm's Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Healthcare Litigation Group, where she focuses her practice on representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. With more than 30 years of experience, she has worked on thousands of cases, working collaboratively with clients and teams of lawyers to develop and implement innovative case work up and trial strategies. She has defended mass tort and individual lawsuits in nearly every state, building a reputation for being a dynamic leader and tireless advocate for her clients. Modak-Truran has also cultivated an intellectual property and entertainment law practice. From new artists to well-established entertainment companies, she has provided business services, copyright and trademark services. Modak-Truran's passion for entertainment work has led to her packaging the first official documentary on Nobel Laureate William Faulkner and being an active Grammy Member of The Recording Academy.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago.
