New York, May 2, 2024 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that it advised longtime client Arkema (Euronext: AKE) in its agreement to acquire Dow's (NYSE: DOW) flexible packaging laminating adhesives business. The acquisition, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, will significantly expand Arkema's portfolio of solutions for flexible packaging, including in food, medical and industrial lamination applications.

Arkema is a global leader in specialty materials, with three business segments: Adhesive Solutions, Advanced Materials and Coating Solutions. With annual sales of approximately €9.5 billion, Arkema operates in 55 countries and has 21,100 employees worldwide.

Dow's laminating adhesives business is one of the leading producers of adhesives for the flexible packaging market. The business includes 5 state-of-the-art production sites in Italy, the United States and Mexico.
