Management Updates
Selim Göncü has joined Stock as Co-Head of Strategy, Transformation & Marketing. He will build and lead the new STM function, together with Revan Dündar Perkin, emerging Stock's strategic framework, enabling sustainable performance management & continuous development, strengthening the Stock brand, business and marketing philosophy & capabilities, also acting as a board advisor.
Selim has a diverse career over two decades across consumer goods, tobacco, drinks, music & entertainment in global blue-chip companies having held global, regional and end-market leadership positions. He was lately serving as a Global Marketing Director at Imperial Brands PLC in Bristol, UK.
His previous experience includes strategy & business development, strategic and operational marketing, commercial management, innovation roles with Japan Tobacco International, Carlsberg Group & Turk Tuborg, Universal Music Group and Colgate Palmolive, leading multi-national, cross-functional teams and strategic projects, creating numerous global, regional and local business and brand success stories. He has lived across different geographies – through his international roles – including Denmark, Croatia, Switzerland and United Kingdom prior to joining Stock as returning to Istanbul, Turkey.
Selim earned his BsC in marketing & finance from Lehigh University, USA after graduating from The Koç School, Turkey. He is a member of Turkish Musical Work Owners Society (MSG) and serves as a board member of The Koç School Alumni Association.
Team Updates
Sidem Ener has joined Stock's Trademarks Team as an associate attorney-at-law. Sidem will mainly assist in contentious matters, particularly oppositions and administrative appeals before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Sidem is a graduate of Galatasaray University Faculty of Law and she was recently associated with another law firm active in the field of IP. She is the recipient of several educational certificates from WIPO and EUIPO.
Ezgi Taşkıran has also joined Stock's Trademarks Team as an associate attorney-at-law and will also assist mainly in contentious matters, particularly oppositions and administrative appeals before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Ezgi is a graduate of Bilkent University Faculty of Law and she was recently associated with another law firm active in the field of IP.
Şevin Bingöl has joined Stock's Trademark Department as trademark agent trainee. Şevin will mainly assist in prosecution matters. Şevin is a graduate of Istanbul University where she received two BA degrees, in American Culture and Literature and in Translation and Interpretation (English). She has been working as a freelance translator since her university years and she has worked on various legal, technical and medical translation projects.
Ecem Demirtaş has joined Stock's Trademarks Team as an associate attorney-at-law. Ecem will mainly assist in contentious matters, particularly administrative appeals before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Ecem is a graduate of Bilgi University Faculty of Law and she was recently associated with another law firm active in the field of IP.
Ayşem Zeynep Yücesan has joined Dündar Law Firm (DLF), acting as Stock's Litigation Arm, as an associate attorney-at-law. Ayşem has recently graduated from Galatasaray University Faculty of Law and completed her legal internship at DLF. Ayşem will assist in litigation and contentious matters.
Emine Sarıtaş has joined Stock's Patents Department as a Patent Administrator. Emine is a graduate of Istanbul University where she received a degree in English Language and Literature. She started her career as an English teacher and then moved on to translation work where she worked on translation and domestication of computer games for Turkish players. Emine will assist a team of patent attorneys with various administrative tasks.
Müge Şen has joined Stock's Accounting Department as an assistant. Müge has recently graduated from Yıldız Technical University with a degree in Economics.
