In June, the Russian parliament adopted amendments to
counterterrorism laws and public security measures, many of which
affect the technology sector. Among other requirements, the
amendments oblige communication service providers to store in
Russia all information on their customers' and internet
users' communications and messages for specified periods and
disclose any data to Russian law enforcement authorities upon their
request. For more information, please see the corresponding Jones Day Alert.
