The latest update from London Representative Christine
Gill
In February I attended the annual SuperReturn International
private equity and venture capital conference in Berlin, leading
the Guernsey Finance funds delegation which included
representatives from Northern Trust, Mourant, Altair Partners and
Trident Trust. The attendee numbers were affected this year by
COVID-19, but delegates who were in attendance were engaged with
the We Are Guernsey stand and particularly interested in the Cayman
vs Guernsey literature. Global distribution was a reoccurring
talking point during conversations. The Guernsey Finance wine
tasting was well attended and productive.
I also attended the IBA private wealth conference in March. The
Guernsey delegation present at the two-day conference at the Four
Season Hotel included Trident Trust, Millar Trust and Albecq Trust.
Again, the numbers were lower than last year, but the We Are
Guernsey stand hosted a number of conversations with delegates on
Trust Law and presented the our Global Trends in Family Offices
report to practitioners who were new to the Jurisdiction.
