The Government has made radical changes to the Town and Country Planning Use Classes Order 1987 (as amended).

The Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2020

  • creates new use classes, namely Class E ("commercial, business and services" uses); Class F1 ("learning and nonresidential institutions" uses); and Class F2 ("local community" uses); and
  • reclassifies a number of uses.
