Companies Act 2006: Faster Striking-Off Of Defunct Companies

From 10 October 2015, the time it takes to strike a company
which is not carrying on business off the register has come
down.
Previously, if there was no objection, the Registrar of
Companies could strike a company off a minimum of three months
after publication of the first Gazette notice. Under the new
timescales, the minimum is two months from publication of the first
Gazette notice.
