Advising on a 20 year letting to US co-working operator, WeWork, at 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2H, London with an annual rent of circa £10 million. The transaction also includes a fit out which is expected to cost over £35 million. The building, which we acquired for Almacantar in 2013, provides 190,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space, of which WeWork will lease 140,745 sq ft.

Advising on the acquisition of a student housing portfolio comprising 13 units from Unite Students for circa £295 million, as part of our client's strategic growth in its student accommodation business. We also advised on the sale of the entity that owned Moor Place (the European headquarters of WeWork) in the City of London to Kingboard for £271 million.

We advised on the pre-letting of 1 Sloane Street to luxury fashion house, Burberry plc., the first tenant to be announced for one of the seven new flagship stores planned by Chelsfield as part of the first phase of redevelopment of The Knightsbridge Estate. The development, which we continue to advise on, is taking place at the northern end of The Estate, fronting Brompton Road and Sloane Street.

Advising on the disposal of the Woolwich Estate covering 4.9 acres in central Woolwich, South East London to British Land for £103 million. The estate is predominantly comprised of retail space, however it also includes 50,000 sq ft of residential and 3,000 sq ft of office space.

Advising on the sale of 176,000 sq ft Aldwych House for £250 million to a Hong Kong-based investor. Aldwych House has gone through a massive refurbishment including a new reception and entrance hall, balconies, atria and roof terraces and subsequently secured a string of lettings to occupiers including WeWork, Comcast, Wasserman Media and Japanese restaurant, Roka.

Advising on the pre-let of a 20-year lease of 68,600 sq ft office space at Meyer Bergman's £300 million Borough Yards scheme, situated on the site of the former Vinopolis wine bar. The development comprises a mixed use scheme of over 197,000 sq ft, which takes in the Vinopolis venue and neighbouring sites in and around London Bridge's Victorian railway arches.
