This Emerging Issues video is the fifth in a series about Brexit
- the June 2016 referendum in which the UK electorate voted to
leave the EU. In it, Jones Day partner John Ahern moderates a panel
discussion on the implications of Brexit for the City of London,
particularly in the financial sector. The panelists are Lord Lawson
of Blaby (former Chancellor of the Exchequer), Sir Vince Cable
(former Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills),
Anthony Hilton (financial commentator for the London Evening
Standard), and Angela Knight CBE (former member of Parliament,
former CEO of the British Bankers' Association, and current
chair of the Office of Tax Simplification). The following are
excerpts of that discussion.
