PHILADELPHIA—Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Kristen Healey Cramer and Barry Herman will be among the speakers at the Association of Corporate Counsel Greater Philadelphia Chapter's In-House Counsel Conference. In addition, attorney Kevin Mangan and Client Service Director Candace Gill will represent the firm at the conference.

Cramer, Herman and Saint-Gobain Corporation Senior IP Counsel Alex Plache will discuss "The Game of Monopoly: Antitrust Counterclaims in Patent Enforcement Actions." The panelists will examine antitrust issues that arise in the IP context and the immunity afforded under the Noerr-Pennington doctrine, including "sham" litigation, Walker Process claims, requests to stay antitrust counterclaims, settlement agreements, and litigation costs, and conclude with a brief overview of "hot" topics at the intersection of patent and antitrust law in 2018.

Kristen Healey Cramer represents domestic and international clients as lead counsel in patent infringement actions in federal district and appellate courts and in inter partes review proceedings before the PTAB. She also serves as local trial counsel in Delaware and New Jersey. She has litigated patent matters involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, consumer products and electronics, computer networks, power, and business methods, among other technologies.

Barry Herman is an intellectual property litigation partner working in Baltimore. He represents both domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation in district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the USPTO.

Kevin Mangan represents clients in bankruptcy, financial services, consumer finance, and other litigation matters before US state and federal courts throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition to his litigation practice, Kevin regularly advises and represents financial services and other clients on bankruptcy and restructuring matters throughout the country.
