The CFTC requested comment on issues being addressed by the Climate-Related Market Risk Subcommittee of the Market Risk Advisory Committee (or "MRAC").

The CFTC asks for public input in identifying (i) challenges to evaluating and managing climate-related financial and market risks; (ii) how market participants can improve integration of climate-related analyses into disclosures, market assessments and reporting; (iii) risk management and disclosure policy initiatives and best practices; (iv) methods by which data and analyses can enhance and contribute to assessment of climate-related financial market risks and their impact on various commodities; and (v) financial and market risks arising from policy responses to climate change.

Comments must be submitted by May 14, 2020.
