But the authorization will end 60 days after the expiration of the governor's COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Order. Bills have been floating in both the state House and Senate.
"We have a diverse general assembly and one of the issues I've heard from peers in other states is remote notary hasn't rolled out easily," Giorgione said. "I don't think it's been seamless."
A technology platform has to be used and a lot of real estate and title companies are "mom and pop shops that don't have DocuSign," he said.
