The Worcester District Medical Society published an article by Peter Martin in the May/June 2017 edition of its quarterly publication, Worcester Medicine, discussing the recently proposed amended regulations that will loosen restrictions on the use of "mid-level practitioners". This new development will make it easier to continue to provide services to MassHealth patients, by using lower-cost practitioners to perform non-physician services.
