The Chalfont Borough Council unanimously approved the
development of a 54-unit housing complex at its meeting on July 14.
To accomplish this, the council amended its zoning ordinances
to allow small-lot single family homes on the property.
The site requires decontamination of environmental hazards
before development can begin, including removing asbestos from the
buildings and removing any contaminated soil and monitoring
groundwater.
