On March 13th, the Financial Services Institute and the
Financial Services Roundtable requested a progress report from the Department
of Labor regarding its efforts to re-propose the regulation that
would broaden the scope of the term "fiduciary" under
ERISA. In addition, the groups asked the DOL how it is following
the criteria outlined in letters sent by both Republican and Democratic leaders late last year.
