FDA launched its first mobile app to speed
public access to information about drug shortages. Users can search
by name, active ingredient, or therapeutic category, and the app
will identify current drug shortages, resolved shortages, and
discontinuations of drug products. App users can also report
suspected shortages. FDA developed the app as part of its Strategic Plan for Preventing and Mitigating Drug
Shortages.
