New Mexico Data Breach Notification Law Passes State House

On February 19, 2015, the New Mexico State House of
Representatives unanimously passed a data breach notification law that requires
business to notify consumers, and possibly the state attorney
general and credit reporting agencies, in the event of a data
breach. Currently, New Mexico is one of three states without a data
breach notification statute. The law must pass the State Senate
before it becomes official.
